Strasbourg Strasbourg... Ohhh la la... what a city! Didn't know what to expect from it but I was truly mesmerized. So glad we visited it and if you ever get the chance to be somewhere in Alsace, France... do not miss it! Our main trip was in Colmar, however, being so close to Strasbourg, we included it as well in our itinerary. Such a great choice!
Hello dear travelers! I just came back from a wonderful trip around Alsace region in France. More exactly, we've visited Colmar and Strasbourg! Can't wait to tell you more... Culturally between France and Germany, Alsace has only been part of the French territory since World War II. It obviously retains a strong German heritage, from the local dialect to the traditional meals and iconic architecture. Colmar is the most charming little fairytale town I've ever seen. Why? Well, first of all, it looks like it’s taken straight out of “Beauty and the Beast”. For real!
Hello hello! I'm back! Today I want to tell you about Chalkida which is a beautiful city by the sea near Athens, Greece. It is also called the "city of mad waters" so tag along and I'll explain you why! After we visited Athens for 3 days back in September, we were heading to Chalkida to spend one more relaxing week at the beach. First of all, I am pretty sure you've never heard of this city until now because it really isn't such a touristic place. You won't even find a single magnet to buy as a souvenir, I can guarantee that :)) Also, the menus at the restaurants are mostly written in Greek. But that's ok, because this way you get to feel the true authenticity of Greece.
Hi guys! We just came back from a 10 days trip to Greece YAAAY. We've spent 3 days in Athens and 7 more days in Chalkida. However, this blog post is solely about Athens and I have to warn you... lots of pictures will be shown in here. Ok, so... what about Athens? Oh well, for me, Athens is just perfect. I really mean it. It's our 5th time visiting the city. A little bit awkward right? Why visiting this city so many times? Because we love everything about it! It’s a city we could visit again and again. In fact, we could even see ourselves living here. We like it that much!
This blog post is going to be a short one, but with so many beautiful photos presenting #myRomania! So stay tuned! Two weeks ago, we had a day off from work and my cousin asked me if we were willing to leave Bucharest that weekend. Well, of course! We are always ready to travel! So we immediately thought of going to the mountains. Asked another friend of ours to join us and the plan was already made. We were escaping Bucharest for 1 day. Yuhuu Ok, so we were all really enthusiastic about this trip and woke up pretty early in the morning. We've met our friends and off we went to our destination for the day, which in this case was Sinaia. From there we wanted to reach the height of 2000 m by climbing the mountain that rises above this small town.
One month ago, husband and I really needed a break-out from our daily routine and a one-day trip was just perfect at the moment. My father also joined us and off we went to one of my favorite cities in Romania - Sibiu, which is absolutely amazing. Romania is a wonderful country and I will always try to highlight this and share my pictures and stories to as many people as I can. Romania has great mountains - the Carpathians, the Black Sea and also the Danube Delta. So it's kind of unique, right? A lot of tourists hear about Transylvania and most of them believe it's a different country than Romania, but hell no... Transylvania is just a region in Romania. An awesome one if you ask me... and Sibiu is a medieval town part of this area!
Sicily! Ohhh Sicily! This was certainly one of our best trips. We stayed 6 days and we were a total of 6 friends looking forward to have lots of fun and explore as much as we could. Which we totally did! Just to have a first impression, our tour included the following locations: Castellammare del Golfo, Mondello, Palermo, Cefalù and San Vito lo Capo. Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea located in Europe. It is an autonomous Region of Italy, along with surrounding minor islands, officially referred to as Regione Siciliana. The total area of the island is 25,711 km2 while the Autonomous Region of Sicily (which includes smaller surrounding islands) has an area of 27,708 km2.
